Python Developer with GCP and BigQuery Experience

Job Summary (List Format) :

• Take full ownership of an existing cloud-native application on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), primarily using App Engine and Data Store.
• Collaborate with the current resource to understand system architecture, workflows, data pipelines, integrations, and dependencies.
• Maintain and enhance Python-based application workflows, ensuring code quality, scalability, and performance.
• Design, develop, and optimize data queries and analytics with BigQuery for reporting and insights.
• Manage deployments, monitoring, and troubleshooting of the application in GCP.
• Identify and implement architectural improvements, cost optimizations, and automation opportunities.
• Ensure application uptime, reliability, and performance, including support for production incidents.
• Serve as the main point of accountability for the application, communicating with stakeholders, business users, and technical teams.
• Utilize strong hands-on experience with GCP services (App Engine, Data Store / Firestore, BigQuery).
• Apply proficiency in Python for backend development and data processing.
• Analyze and document existing systems, and propose enhancements.
• Leverage strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, communication, and collaboration skills.
• (Preferred) Experience with GCP IAM, Cloud Functions, Cloud Storage, Pub / Sub, DevOps practices, and CI / CD pipelines.
• (Preferred) Background in application ownership / transition, including knowledge transfer from existing teams.
