Responsibilities Work in a hospital-based Labor and Delivery unit with 4 antepartum rooms, 9 labor / high risk rooms, and 3 triage bays Care for high-risk maternity patients, perform fetal heart monitoring, C-sections, and vaginal deliveries Night shift schedule with 3x12 hour shifts from 19 : 00 to 07 : 30 Equipment and monitoring includes fetal heart and high-risk pregnancy monitoring Charting is performed using Epic EMR Floating to Postpartum unit may be required if needed May provide postpartum couplet care for both newborn and maternal patients if insufficient perinatal RNs are available Must commit to working 3 out of 5 major holidays (Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, Christmas Day, New Year's Eve, New Year's Day) RNs are expected to float between facilities in the state if needed Navy blue scrubs are required; L&D scrubs are provided Return staff policy requires a minimum 3-month gap before returning Minimal RTO is permitted and must be included at time of application Parking is available for a fee Completion of required training modules before start is mandatory Requirements Current and active CA RN license in hand at time of application Minimum of 2 years' recent labor and delivery experience required Certifications required : AWHONN Advanced or NCC EFM, ACLS, BLS, NRP, FHM (all from AHA preferred for ACLS / BLS) LA fire card issued within the last 30 days required Epic EMR experience required Supervisory references covering 1 year within the last 3 years are required SSN and DOB required for consideration Candidates must reside at least 50 miles from facility for travel eligibility First-time travelers will not be considered Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-638991.
