Job Title : Parts Outside Salesperson

Department : Parts

Reports To : Parts Manager / General Manager

Location : Centre State International Trucks

Position Summary :

The Parts Outside Salesperson is responsible for developing and maintaining strong customer relationships through outside sales visits, phone communication, and digital outreach. This position focuses on growing parts sales, expanding market share, and providing exceptional service to fleet, wholesale, and retail customers in assigned territories.

Key Responsibilities :

Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers to promote parts sales and service opportunities.

Conduct regular outside sales calls to fleets, independent repair shops, and owner-operators.

Identify customer needs and provide tailored solutions that improve uptime and reduce maintenance costs.

Develop and execute territory sales plans to achieve monthly and annual sales goals.

Prepare quotes, process orders, and follow up to ensure on-time delivery and customer satisfaction.

Communicate with the internal parts and service teams to coordinate pricing, availability, and logistics.

Track competitor activity and report market trends to management.

Maintain accurate records of customer contacts, orders, and activity in the CRM or DMS system.

Represent Centre State International Trucks professionally at customer sites, trade shows, and community events.

Support parts promotions, seasonal campaigns, and special events to drive sales growth.

Qualifications :

High school diploma or equivalent; college or technical degree preferred.

Minimum 2 years of experience in outside sales, preferably in the heavy truck, automotive, or equipment industry.

Strong knowledge of truck parts, components, and related systems.

Proven track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

Self-motivated with strong organizational and time-management abilities.

Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and dealership or inventory systems (Karmak, CDK, or similar) preferred.
