Job descriptionWork on a wide range of projects to include planning, design, permitting, and construction of structures in water and wastewater (i.e. drinking water, wastewater, water resources, conveyance) Client development opportunities Project management opportunities Technical leadership and staff mentoring opportunities across Hazen’s Midwest region Fieldwork and site visits from planning through construction may be required with occasional travel 5 - 10 years of experience in relevant municipal water / wastewater design and construction experience Experience in planning, design, and construction for water and wastewater treatment facilities Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and capable of interacting effectively with staff, clients, and regulatory agencies Self-starter with attention to detail Strong organizational skills Proficient in all MS Office based computer software PE license (KY preferred or ability to obtain reciprocity within six months of employment) B.S. degree in Environmental, Civil, or Biosystems engineering Advanced degree (Master’s) of Science or Engineering from an ABET-accredited U.S. program (other engineering degrees considered case by case) Comprehensive health benefits (medical, dental, vision, and prescription plans) Pre-tax flexible spending plans for medical, dependent care, and transportation Short and long-term disability, and employer paid life insurance Paid holidays, floating holidays, and paid time off (PTO) Employer-contributed 401(k) plan and additional financial planning support Professional growth opportunities, including tuition reimbursement, in-house training, and incentives for professional registration and professional organization memberships Starting pay range for this position depends on skills, experience, education and geographical location

Hazen is seeking a qualified and experienced Project Engineer to support the planning, design and construction of water and wastewater facility infrastructure in Lexington or Louisville Kentucky.
