General Job Description Weigel Productions is seeking a Producer to manage all creative and production aspects of an episode for a national, one-hour, daily, nostalgic-themed, morning television program featuring some of the most beloved cartoons of all time.
The ideal candidate must be a highly creative self-starter with excellent leadership and organizational skills. Able to work in a fast-paced environment and adjust to change. Detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to multitask and prioritize work. An effective communicator who is comfortable working across multiple locations.
Responsibilities Drive creative vision for an episode, oversee execution of the episode from start through post-production
Generate, pitch and develop creative content
Write show scripts
Book topical guests, conduct pre-interviews, brief guests on show days
Determine visual elements and props for episodes
Coordinate logistics and clearly communicate creative needs with other departments including crew, graphics, post-production and art requests
Brief hosts and production team
Other duties as assigned
Requirements Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
Minimum 5 years of television producing experience
Demonstrate the ability to work with on-air talent, production teams, sponsors and even animals
Highly organized with strong writing and people skills are a must
Flexible work schedule required
Proficiency in MS Office is a must.
iNews, GV Stratus and Adobe C-Suite experience a plus.

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate / range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $60,000-70,000 annually. This role is also eligible for various benefits, including medical / dental / vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents. Benefits for Union represented employees will be in accordance with the applicable collective bargaining agreement.
