Job Title : Radiation Therapist – Oncology Department

Contract Length : 13 Weeks

Shift : Days – 8 : 00 AM to 4 : 30 PM (8-hour shifts)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Radiation Therapist to join our Oncology Department . The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical skills in radiation therapy, a solid understanding of oncology care, and the ability to deliver precise, high-quality treatment while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Administer prescribed radiation therapy treatments to patients in accordance with established protocols.
  • Accurately operate radiation therapy equipment, including TrueBeam systems .
  • Work collaboratively with oncologists, physicists, and nurses to ensure effective and safe treatment delivery.
  • Monitor and document patient reactions to treatment, adjusting care as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and institutional regulations .
  • Ensure radiation safety standards and infection control practices are consistently followed.
  • Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures and side effects.

    • Qualifications :

  • Education : Graduation from an AMA-approved School of Radiologic Technology
  • Licensure :

    • Active New York State License – Required at time of submission

  • Must maintain all registries and licenses required by state and federal law
  • Certification :

    • Registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) – Required

  • Current BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) – Required
  • Experience :

    • Minimum 1 year of radiologic / imaging experience

  • TrueBeam experience required
  • Experience in Radiology or Oncology preferred
