What will I do as a Clinical Therapist with Genacross?
Responsible for mental health services and related documentation for the case load assigned to you.Cover cases for other therapists who are unavailable to their clients for reasons such as illness or vacation.Attend case reviews as requested by supervisor.Participate in staff meetings as requested offering clinical assessments and reports on client functioning levels as requested by supervisor.Provide interim progress report on clients as requested by supervisor.Meet deadlines as established by supervision.Provide 24 hours a day, 7 days a week clinical coverage within the scope of license and practice, to youth in residential facilities. Will be accessible on-site or face-to-face via interactive videoconferencing as appropriate, based on mental health needs of the youth. This is based on a schedule and as needed. Document all calls in clinical activity notes.Utilize trauma informed treatment approaches in all interactions with youth following the SAMHSA principles and domains.Maintain your professional license in good standing and provide current licensing documentation to the Human Resource Officer.Provide supplemental information to other personnel as they develop transition plans for clients as needed.Communicate effectively with therapists who work with your clients in other capacities.Required to meet standards for clinical billing time as identified by supervisor. Billing could include individual counseling, group counseling, day treatment, CPST, and diagnostic assessments.Serve as a therapist in the day treatment program to provide clinical services and ordering and evaluation of restraints as needed.Provide CPST services to clients as identified by client need.Meet training requirements as defined by Genacross and OMHAS for the clinical services provided.Clinical Therapist Requirements :
Active licensure as a Licensed Social Worker (LSW) or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) in the State of Ohio.Advanced therapeutic skills, including strong rapport-building and sound clinical judgment as determined by the Clinical Director.Ability to implement short-term cognitive interventions creatively to meet the unique needs of each client.Proficiency in writing clinical objectives and clinical notes that meet Federal and Ohio Medicaid billing standards as well as Genacross documentation requirements.Demonstrated ability to improve clinical functioning of clients within assigned caseload.Successful completion of a Trauma-Focused, Evidence-Based Training program approved or recognized by the organization.Genacross strives to improve the lives of everyone, including our Team Members, who daily enrich the lives of our residents, patients, clients & colleagues.
