Located in beautiful Louisville, CO, our 104-bed facility provides a peaceful setting for those seeking treatment for mental illness including chemical dependency. The Mental Health Tech (MHT), creates a safe environment for patients, saves lives when necessary, provides hope, empowers patients, and teaches new tools for coping to patients. Primary responsibilities include the provision of a safe and therapeutic milieu, crisis intervention, individual/family education groups and activities of daily living. This role provides direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse. Shift Hours: Day 7am-3:30pm or Evening 3pm-11:30pm. 8-hour shifts. Hiring for 3, 4, or 5 shifts per week depending on candidates desired schedule.

This position is eligible for our generous shift differentials: Weekend Day (Sat-Sun) $2/hr, Evening (Mon-Thurs) $3.25/hr, Weekend Evening (Fri-Sun) $5.00/hr, Night (Mon-Thurs) $5.00/hr, Weekend Night (Fri-Sun) $7.00/hr.*must work three and a half hours (3.5 hours) into a shift to qualify for shift differential.

Qualifications

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent. Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• One-year experience working with a psychiatric patient population preferred.
• Knowledge of psychiatric group processes, therapeutic relationships processes, age specific growth and development, limit setting and behavior management, crisis management with aggressive behaviors, and CPR training preferred or ability to learn.
