JOB SUMMARY :
The Case Manager for the Brownsville Safety Alliance (BSA) plays a critical role in providing support and services to individuals in crisis, with a focus on non-emergency responses to mental health, substance use, and social service needs. This role involves assessing client needs, connecting individuals to appropriate services, and coordinating care in collaboration with community partners and first responders.

- Respond to referrals from Brownsville Safety Alliance public safety teams and community sources.
- Conduct client assessments and develop individualized care plans.
- Connect individuals to services such as mental health support, housing, substance use treatment, and social services.
- Monitor client progress, maintain case notes, and ensure follow-up.
- Collaborate with community organizations, outreach teams, and clinical providers.
- Participate in community engagement and outreach efforts to build trust and improve access to care.
- Participate with Brownsville Safety Alliance team during BSA Situation Table and other presentations.
- Obtains and develops resource information for consumers in all aspects of their care; disseminates this information to consumers in a manner that is clear and understandable.
- Refers consumers to community resources and other organizations.
- Attends regularly scheduled clinical meetings, staff meetings and supervision as well as in-service training and development activities.
- Other job-related duties that may be assigned.

Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, public health, or related field plus 2 years’ experience in case management, crisis intervention or social Services. Minimum experience requirements are waived for candidates with a bachelor’s degree that required a one-year practicum working directly with individuals with mental disabilities (e.g., BSW). Prior experience in Ability to work flexible hours, including very occasional evenings or weekends as needed.
