Crisis Center of Comal County – Case Manager

The Crisis Center of Comal County provides hope, safety, and healing to individuals and families impacted by domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness. We are seeking a compassionate, servant-minded Case Manager to join our Shelter Program team and walk alongside clients in their journey toward safety and independence.
Position Overview
As a Case Manager, you’ll provide trauma-informed support, crisis intervention, and case management for shelter clients. You’ll help clients set and achieve personal goals, connect with community resources, and ensure a safe, supportive environment. This role is fast-paced and hands-on, ideal for someone who thrives in service to others and is committed to empowering survivors.
Key Responsibilities
Provide intake, assessment, safety planning, and ongoing case management for shelter clients.
Respond to crisis calls and provide immediate emotional support.
Facilitate groups, classes, and daily meetings to promote healing and independence.
Coordinate client services, including transportation and referrals to community partners.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation of client services.
Work collaboratively with shelter staff to ensure a safe, welcoming, and organized environment.
Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and on-call rotations.
Support agency events and fundraising as needed.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in social work or related field (or 10+ years of relevant experience). Master’s degree a plus.
1–2 years of experience in case management or direct client services.
Knowledge of domestic violence, sexual assault, and homelessness resources.
Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Bilingual (English / Spanish) preferred.
Must have valid driver’s license and ability to work flexible shifts (including nights / weekends / holidays).
Ability to pass a background check.
