Responsibilities

This role will be employed by Irving Consumer Products as part of the shared service Research and Insights Team and will provide direct support to Cavendish Farms in the following :

  • Insight Generation and Storytelling
  • Manages customer presentation development, spanning consumer trends, assortment reviews, and menu opportunities

  • Analyzes and integrates syndicated market, customer and proprietary data to deliver insights
  • Partners with suppliers to field primary research (i.e. Concept Testing, Usage & Attitude, Path to Purchase)
  • Oversees production of recurring internal reporting
  • Delivers proactive thought leadership implications to US team members to unlock business opportunities
  • Knowledge Management and Learning Agenda
  • Audits existing research assets and understand needs of stakeholders to uncover knowledge gaps

  • Creates learning plan to address knowledge gaps
  • Manages data and research assets
  • Future Outlook and Capability Building
  • Develops strong working partnerships with service providers

  • Proactively investigates and builds new insights capabilities
  • Makes investment recommendations supported by a business case
  • People Leadership & Development
  • Provides coaching, and supports development of, one Analyst headcount

  • Manages successful delegation, ensuring on-time and high-quality deliverable completion
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or related field
  • Or equivalent combination of education and experience

  • 10+ years of relevant experience, with a minimum 7 years of CPG or foodservice experience
  • Prior people management experience preferred
  • Experience working with data from syndicated research suppliers (Circana, CREST, SupplyTrack, Datassential, Technomic, Nielsen, IRI, etc.)
  • Prior customer-facing experience (Marketing, Sales, etc.)
  • Strong ability to lead, communicate and influence at all levels of the organization and with customers
  • Strong planning and project management skills
  • Highly organized, responsive, and a proactive collaborator
