Reports To : Principal Scheduling Manager, Site Services Portfolio Management and Project Controls
Main Purpose of the Position :
Support schedule management for a portfolio of approximately 100 projects (each under $10M)
Job Duties / Responsibilities :
- Startup and commissioning of a high end lab and office (70 / 30% split).
- Develops startup and commissioning plans, separate from the construction phase.
- Coordinates between engineering, construction, and commissioning teams.
- Breaks down systems into subsystems and tracks their readiness (e.g., piping, electrical, instrumentation).
- Ensures operational checklists, tests, and procedures are scheduled and resourced.
- Uses system-level turnover strategies (like MC - mechanical completion, Pre-Commissioning, and Commissioning milestones).
- Identifies interdependencies between construction completion and startup readiness.
- Tracks and integrates vendor support, material availability, temporary utilities, and safety permits.
- Work will be done in P6 at the Level 3 detail while planning, skyline charts may be prepared in Excel or other tools.
- Support regularly scheduled department updates on individual and portfolio schedule performance.
- Prepare and provide schedule progress reports, trending charts and schedule analysis on a periodic basis. Maintain record of scope changes, trends and variances that potentially affect schedule performance.
- Develop; monitor and update integrated project plans and schedules so that projects can be executed in the most efficient manner possible.
- Assess impacts to the critical path and near-critical activities and report to the project team.
- Monitor schedule deviations and variances and assist in developing alternate methods for corrective action.
- Participate in project meetings at the discretion of the project manager.
- Participate in departmental staff meetings.
- Comply with departmental scheduling practices and procedures.
Qualifications : Education, Experience, Knowledge and Skills :
Skilled in Primavera P6 and Skyline Charts.Ability to quickly learn new software toolsProject management experience is requiredExcellent collaboration and communication skills are required.Candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of construction project scheduling experience. It is an advantage to have experience in the Biotech Industry.Pharmaceutical / Biotech project experience, including commissioning and validation activities, is required.Certification by AACE in planning / scheduling is preferred.PMP certification is a plusJoin our team and contribute to exciting projects worldwide.
