Shifts : 6 : 30am / 7 : 30am-15 : 30 / 16 : 30 (4-day x 9hr / day contracts) with full call rotation.

\n\nJob Description\n

The Registered Nurse applies knowledge of nursing theory, technical, and communication skills in delivering high quality compassionate care to patients and families. The Endo RN develops specialized skills in the area of patient admitted for medical conditions and is accountable for patient family education to assist in understanding self-care beyond hospitalization.

\n\nResponsibilities\n \n

  • Assess patient needs and develop a collaborative plan of care.

    • \n

  • Provide direct patient care and evaluate patient progress.

    • \n

  • Promote, advocate for and protect the health, safety and rights of the patient.

    • \n

  • Educate patients and families on self-care and health-related topics.

    • \n

  • Engage in quality improvement activities to enhance nursing practice.

    • \n

  • Demonstrate competencies in medication administration and patient assessment.

    • \n \n\nRequired Experience / Certifications / Licensure\n \n

  • Active New York State RN Licensure.

    • \n

  • One (1) Year Experience serving in Endoscopy Environment as a Registered Nurse.

    • \n

  • BLS, ACLS, PALS, NIHSS certifications are required.
