You will not serve as a supervisor or manager; instead serve as a clinical nurse and resource to the staff, authorize work procedures and assign duties, shift charge, as well as : \n\n+ Demonstrating strong clinical judgment and ensuring high-quality care delivery to each patient.\n\n+ Acting as a vital link between physicians and the patient care team to facilitate seamless communication and collaboration.\n\n+ Maintaining communication and promote cooperation with unit staff and other departments.\n\n+ Provides input and recommendations to the director / manager on coaching, mentoring and performance management of associates.\n\n+ Assumes responsibility and accountability for facilitating, communicating, and collaborating with both the healthcare team, and the patient / family to identify and meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the patient.\n\n+ Act as a professional role model for all staff by demonstrating ethical / legal / professional nursing.\n\n+ Promotes the optimal health, well-being, and safety of the patient through use of the nursing process and in accordance with patient care standards, guidelines, and the State Nurse Practice Act.\n\n+ Actively serves on unit as a registered nurse and may take patient assignments based on unit and patient needs and acuity.\n\n+ Being personally, accountable for relationship-based care, organizational mission, and core values.\n

  • Schedule : 3 - 12 hour shifts per week, 1800-0600 \n\nQualifications : \n\nIn addition to bringing humankindness to the workplace each day, qualified candidates will need the following : \n\nEducation\n\n+ Associates Degree in Nursing (Nursing Diploma or by endorsement) required\n\n+ BSN, preferred\n\nLicensure\n\n+ RN License to practice in state of employment as applicable, required\n\n+ Nursing Specialty Certification, preferred\n\nExperience\n\n+ Minimum of 1 year of direct clinical experience as a Registered Nurse.\n\nPhysical Requirements\n\n+ Medium Work - (Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and / or up to 20lbs frequently, and / or up to 10lbs constantly)\n\nYour Connected Community : \n\nAt Holy Cross Hospital – West Valley, our Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP) unit is a close-knit team dedicated to providing exceptional birthing experiences. Delivering around 250 babies annually, our unit includes seven private rooms, a three-bed triage area, and an OR for C-sections. Two of our labor rooms are specially equipped as natural birthing suites for mothers choosing unmedicated deliveries. Following birth, mothers and babies transition to postpartum / well-baby care, where couplet care is encouraged to keep families together. We occasionally support GYN and Med-Surg overflow patients, adding diversity to our care. Our team is family-oriented, passionate about learning, and values work-life balance through flexible scheduling.
