Recruiting Manager

As a Recruiting Manager within GMs U.S. Manufacturing organization, you will lead strategic recruiting efforts for hourly and salaried roles across engineering, operations, maintenance, and leadership functions. You will support hiring within a collective bargaining environment, ensuring compliance with labor agreements while driving talent acquisition strategies that align with GMs business goals and workforce needs across multiple U.S. sites.

Lead and manage a team of recruiters focused on experienced hiring across GMs U.S. manufacturing facilities.

Develop and execute recruiting strategies for salaried roles including group leaders, maintenance supervisors, engineers, and other technical and operational positions.

Partner with HR, labor relations, and site leadership to ensure recruiting practices align with site-specific needs.

Support the implementation and optimization of recruiting and onboarding tools across multiple sites and projects.

Own project timelines, reporting, and financial tracking for recruiting initiatives.

Conduct market research and data analysis to inform sourcing strategies and improve hiring outcomes.

Communicate effectively with stakeholders across HR, operations, and labor relations to ensure alignment and transparency.

Qualifications

5+ years managing a team of tenured recruiters

7+ years of recruiting experience

Understanding of plant operations, skilled trades, and shift work

Experience with high volume manufacturing recruiting preferred

Demonstrated success in utilizing data and metrics to drive decision making

Strong understanding of recruitment processes, sourcing techniques, and TA technologies

Experience building inclusive teams, managing performance, and managing expectations through ambiguity

Ability to travel up to 50%

Compensation

The compensation information is a good faith estimate only. It is based on what a successful applicant might be paid in accordance with applicable state laws.

The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position, as well as geography of the selected candidate.

The salary range for this role is $149,000 - $198,600. The actual base salary a successful candidate will be offered within this range will vary based on factors relevant to the position.
