We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Permanent Electrician / Maintenance Tech to join our dynamic team in the manufacturing industry. This is a fantastic opportunity for an individual who has a passion for problem-solving, a keen eye for detail, and a commitment to ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our manufacturing systems. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting and improving electrical systems, with a focus on PLC knowledge. This role requires a minimum of 2+ years of experience in a similar capacity.
Responsibilities
1. Perform routine and preventive maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure continuous production operations.
2. Troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment, including PLCs, to minimize downtime and maintain production schedules.
3. Interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams.
4. Install, maintain, and repair electrical wiring, equipment, and fixtures to ensure compliance with codes.
5. Collaborate with the operations team to identify and implement improvements to production processes and equipment.
6. Assist in the development and implementation of maintenance procedures and systems.
7. Conduct regular inspections of electrical systems and equipment to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
8. Recommend modifications to equipment or systems to improve safety, efficiency, or reliability.
9. Participate in safety meetings and adhere to all safety regulations and practices.
10. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
Qualifications
1. A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Electrician / Maintenance Tech in the manufacturing industry.
2. Demonstrated knowledge and experience with PLCs.
3. Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and repair electrical equipment and systems.
4. Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics, blueprints, and other technical diagrams.
5. Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including wiring, installation, and repair.
6. Familiarity with electrical codes and safety regulations.
7. Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
8. High level of attention to detail, with the ability to identify and resolve issues before they escalate.
9. Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
10. A commitment to continuous learning and development, with the ability to stay up-to-date with industry trends, advancements, and best practices.
