The Practice

Join KBRH's hospitalist team to deliver high-quality patient care. Collaborate with a dedicated team of 15 professionals, managing a wide range of medical cases, from acute to chronic conditions. Your role includes creating treatment plans, interpreting diagnostics, prescribing medications, and working with a multidisciplinary team. Participate in medical education, quality improvement projects, and hospital initiatives. Opportunities for mentorship and involvement in medical training are available through partnerships with UBC.

The Hospital

At Kootenay Boundary Regional Hospital, provide comprehensive healthcare services to a population of 85,000 residents. Facilities include emergency and trauma care, a Level 2 containment lab, ICU, neonatal ICU, and specialized surgical fields. Join a team of specialists across various disciplines and contribute to critical care as part of the 24-hour high acuity response team. We welcome motivated hospitalists seeking full-time or part-time roles, with flexible scheduling options, including locum positions. Compensation and Benefits

Hourly rate of $200.10 plus incentives such as MOCAP level 2. Benefits include flexible vacation leave, retention premiums (11.48%), flat fee ($17,791), relocation funding ($9,000 within BC, $12,000 within Canada, $15,000 outside Canada), and a recruitment incentive of $15,000 (prorated for part-time). Additional incentives and CME funds are available, with ongoing rural incentives subject to change.
