Description

The Children's Home of Poughkeepsie has been caring for children throughout the Hudson Valley for over 175 years! We strive to empower children and families to achieve optimal health and well being. We are currently seeking Part-Time Cook to workin our Anchor Point Crisis Residence Program.

Position Summary :

The Cook prepares and serves meals, and maintains kitchen and storage areas, all in accordance with the policies and standards of the Dutchess County Department of Behavioral and Community Health, the State Education Child Nutrition Program, and the Agency.

Schedule : Sunday 11am-7pm, Monday-Tuesday 3 : 30pm-7 : 30pm, Wednesday 1pm-5pm, Thursday-Saturday OFF.

Qualifications

MINIMUM Qualifications :

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Valid NYS Driver License in good condition as determined by the Agency
  • Must complete and pass a pre-employment physical, PPD and drug screen and an annual physical and PPD.

PREFERRED Qualifications :

  • Formal education or certificates related to food preparation.
  • Baking skills
  • Quantity food experience
  • Serve Safe certificate
