Job Title : Registered Nurse Profession : Nursing Specialty : Pediatric Critical Care Float Pool Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Day Hours per Shift : 12 hours Experience : 2 years of Pediatric ICU experience preferred License : South Carolina or Multi-State / Compact State RN License required Certifications : BLS, PALS (American Heart Association only) Must-Have : ECMO, CRT experience preferred Description : Pediatric Critical Care float pool RN. Will work 3x12 hour days, 7 : 00 AM to 7 : 30 PM, totaling 36 hours per week. Every other weekend and holiday rotation required. Patient ratios are 1 : 2 or 1 : 3. The clinician will float within scope to meet facility needs, floating to all Pediatric units as necessary. First time travelers are accepted if they have the needed experience. The facility allows for the cancellation of one shift per two weeks. Travelers should be aware during hurricane season that all employees may be assigned to emergency response teams. Hurricane season runs from June through November with peak activity in August and September. All requests for time off must be submitted at the time of application. Approval for time off is based on unit needs. All candidates will be required to complete compliance before the proposed start date. Travelers must ensure they do not have any pre-planned time off that could hinder the completion of pre-start compliance on time. Candidates with a pending license will be considered as long as proof of application is provided. Travelers will not be cleared to report until the license is issued and active. Travel compliance guidelines will apply to all candidates.
