Summary :
The Assistant Pharmacy Manager is first and foremost responsible for guest relations and satisfaction. Under direction of the District Pharmacy Manager and in partnership with the Store Director, is responsible for overseeing all aspects of pharmacy operations including financial performance in the absence of the Pharmacy Manager (PIC). He / She will provide pharmaceutical care for all guests and team members in accordance with our mission statement : "Ultimate Service, Superior Performance, and Positive Impact"
Key Responsibilities :
- When a guest enters my area or department, my first and most important responsibility becomes to acknowledge, greet, and engage that guest
 - Maintain integrity of pharmacy operations within the legal framework provided by the State Board of Pharmacy, Drug Enforcement Agency, Department of Public Safety and other governmental agencies in conjunction with the policy and procedure guidelines set forth by Albertsons Companies
 - Ensure completion and compliance of goals, tasks, standards, and other job-related criteria assigned to the pharmacy
 - Maintain open communication with pharmacy staff to ensure continued growth, development, education and compliance with evolving pharmacy operations
 - In the absence of the PIC, will be the acting Pharmacy Manager
 - Assist and support pharmacy manager in overseeing every aspect of the pharmacy operation including but not limited dispensing, counseling, supervision of technicians, pharmacy team member management, participation in clinical programs including immunization administration, inventory management and control
 - Monitor patients' drug therapies for effectiveness and safety, making recommendations for adjustments as needed
 - Stay informed about new drugs and developments in pharmacy practice through continuing education and professional development activities
 - Other duties as assigned by pharmacy manager or upper management
 
Key Requirements :
BS in Pharmacy and / or PharmD Degree from an accredited School of PharmacyActive and in good standing pharmacist license issued by the Board of Pharmacy of the state(s) in which you are practicingPreceptor by the State Board of PharmacyExcellent problem solving and management skillsBasic accounting and computer skillsExcellent oral and written communication skillsPharmacy Retail experiences a plusAbility to function as a team member and get along with othersAbility to accept supervisory coaching related to performance, work habits and attitudeAbility to prioritize tasks and manage time efficiently in a fast-paced environmentAbility to perform all other physical aspects of the job including bending, squatting, lifting, climbing, standing and walking for 8-12 hour periodFlexibility to work evenings, weekends and some holidays as requiredImmunization certification from accredited organization within first 90 daysActive CPR certification within first 90 days
