SQL Database Administrator

We are seeking an experienced SQL Database Administrator with 6-8 years of hands-on experience in MS SQL Server Administration. The ideal candidate will demonstrate expertise across multiple SQL Server versions (2008 to 2022), ensuring optimal performance, high availability, disaster recovery, and robust backup / restore strategies. This role requires a blend of technical mastery and proactive automation skills to drive operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot SQL Server 2012 / 2014 / 2016 / 2017 / 2019 / 2022
• Perform database migrations from SQL Server 2012 (or earlier) to later versions
• Upgrade SQL Server versions and apply service packs and patches
• Utilize SQL Management Studio, Enterprise Manager, and Query Analyzer for database management
• Create and maintain DB Maintenance plans, rebuild / reorganize indexes, and perform integrity checks
• Implement and manage database Backup, Restore, and Recovery processes
• Design and maintain High Availability and Disaster Recovery (Always On Availability Groups, Replication, Log Shipping, Mirroring, Clustering)
• Implement various Replication Models : Snapshot, Transactional, and Merge
• Manage WSFC installation, configuration, and maintenance in Windows Server / SQL Server 2012 and above
• Audit database and security configurations to ensure compliance
• Troubleshoot and optimize system performance using tools such as Query Store, SQL Profiler, Database Engine Tuning Advisor, Windows Performance Monitor, DMVs, Resource Governor, Data Collection Reports, Crystal Reports, DBCC, Custom Scripts, and Activity Monitor
• Utilize PowerShell and SQL scripting for automation tasks
