Job Summary

This position is crucial for delivering high-quality respiratory care to patients as per physician's orders and departmental protocols. You will work autonomously in various acute and critical care environments, collaborating with physicians and other healthcare personnel to recommend appropriate treatments for patients across all age groups, including infants, pediatrics, adults, and geriatrics.

We offer competitive sign-on bonuses for eligible full-time positions : $7,500 for Direct Care Respiratory Therapists with one year of experience, and $5,000 for those with less than one year of experience. We also provide a tax-free student loan repayment of $1,800 per year, and relocation assistance is available for those moving to the state.

Key Responsibilities

Minimum Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited Respiratory Therapy program or eligible for South Carolina licensure, or a senior student graduating within the next three months.

Required Certifications

Must be licensed or eligible for licensure as a Respiratory Care Practitioner in South Carolina. BLS certification is required, and ongoing maintenance of NBRC credentials is essential. Those hired before June 2016 may hold Certified Respiratory Therapist certification; individuals hired after this date must pass relevant exams within stipulated timeframes.

NRP and PALS certifications are required for positions in the Children's Hospital prior to independent work in NICU and PICU.

Other Skills and Experience

Strong teamwork, communication, computer, and organizational skills are essential for this role.
