Overview
Description The Producer / Multimedia Journalist reports to the Executive Director. FLSA Status : Non-Exempt, Full-time. Schedule : Monday–Friday, 8 : 30 a.m. – 5 : 30 p.m.; evenings, weekends and holidays as needed.
Summary : The primary function of a Producer / Multimedia Journalist is to perform the appropriate production assignments as determined by the Executive Director. These assignments include but are not limited to shooting, directing, and editing programs, promos and other video projects, running audio, video photography, design and build motion graphics for video, set design and construction, setting up and running lighting, operating television cameras, editing video for broadcast production and social media including non-linear editing and long form projects.

Responsibilities
Operate video cameras, assist in set construction / development, direct and edit recorded, “live” video productions, special projects, run audio, setup lights in the studio as well as in the fieldCoordinate all aspects of productionPlan details such as framing, composition, camera movement, sound and talent movement for each shot or sceneTrim film segments to specified lengths, reassemble segments in sequences that present stories with maximum effectDetermine specific audio / visual effects and music necessary to complete filmsSet up / operate computer editing systems, electronic tilting systems, video switching equipment and digital video effects to complete a final productOperate news studio and control room switcher, studio lights, audio board, studio cameras and prompterDesign and execute motion graphics for videoFollow station guidelines regarding story / programming approval and traffic deadlinesCreate content for social mediaAdhering to safety training and protocols on a daily basis and taking precautionary measures to ensure the safety and well-being of self and othersResponsible for protecting the confidentiality of information or material obtained in the service with the organization to include but not limited to client names and information, services rendered to clients, donors names and gifts, internal and external investigations or results of any investigations, and financial informationAdherence to the Code of Conduct and the Faith and Moral policy is mandatoryEvery employee is required to take a solution-oriented approach in their interactions and undertakings, as well as being a team member that promotes collaboration and commitment to the Mission and Vision of the organizationPerform other duties as assignedMinimum Qualifications
Education :
Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) or equivalent from two-year College or technical school and / or additional relevant work experience in lieu of degreeExperience :
Two (2) years related experience and / or training; or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience with Adobe Creative Suite Production Premium software preferred—specifically Premiere Pro, and After EffectsPracticing Catholic or familiarity with the Catholic Church preferredLicense and Credentials :
Bilingual in English and Spanish preferredReliable transportationValid driver licenseValid vehicle insuranceMinimum Knowledge and Skills
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in productionEditing experience using Adobe CC, which includes Premiere, Photoshop, and After EffectsExperience with computer software and Microsoft OfficeSolid shooting and lighting skillsTeam-player who can produce good stories under tight deadlinesMust be detail oriented, organized, self-motivated, work well independently and on a teamMust have good written and verbal skillsMust have good critical thinking and problem-solving skillsTravel Requirements
Travel requirements for the position include 40% local and 0% overnight.
