Associate Merchandising Manager

The Associate Merchandising Manager supports the development and execution of product strategies that drive profitable sales and strengthen brand positioning across multiple brands in watches and jewelry. This role partners closely with brand teams, design, product development, and sales to build strong assortments, analyze business trends, and identify opportunities for growth. It's a great opportunity for an analytical, detail-oriented, and collaborative professional with an eye for product that is ready to grow into a full merchandising leadership role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Partner with the Merchandising Manager and brand teams to assist in developing product strategies aligned with brand goals, financial objectives, and market needs.
  • Support in building seasonal line plans that balance creativity with commercial performance.
  • Assist in creating compelling, brand-right product assortments that differentiate across the portfolio.
  • Monitor performance to ensure the right product mix, price points, and attributes are achieved to meet margin goals.
  • Build Global and regional assortments.

Analytics & Insights

  • Analyze global and regional sell-through data to identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
  • Prepare business recaps, hindsight analyses, and presentations that inform strategic decisions and new product development.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to aggregate, maintain, and report key product and business metrics.
  • Product Lifecycle Management

  • Support lifecycle management from concept through end-of-life, ensuring timely product transitions and inventory efficiency.
  • Assist in identifying assortment gaps and opportunities for new product introductions or discontinuations.
  • Collaborate with brand teams to ensure launch readiness and successful commercialization.
  • Market & Competitive Awareness

  • Monitor the competitive landscape, benchmark pricing and emerging trends through regular market analysis.
  • Participate in market visits and customer meetings as needed to understand evolving product and customer needs.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Build strong relationships with design, product development, marketing, sales, and regional partners to ensure alignment and execution.
  • Participate in key meetings and presentations with licensors and regional partners.
  • Communicate effectively and proactively to support smooth cross-functional workflows and decision-making.
  • Operational & Administrative Support

  • Manage samples, line plans, and assortment documents.
  • Assist with scheduling, meeting coordination, and presentation materials.
  • Support ad hoc merchandising and business analysis projects as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • BA or BS degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in merchandising, buying, or planning (fashion, accessories, or consumer goods preferred).
  • Strong analytical and retail math skills with the ability to interpret complex data and translate into actionable insights.
  • High proficiency and fluency in Excel and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong sense of product and brand; ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Collaborative team player with curiosity, initiative, and a desire to learn.
  • Demonstrated interest in product, brand storytelling, and market trends.
  • Excellent communication and presentation abilities.
  • The base salary range for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 per year. Base salary is determined by individualized factors such as experience and market location.
