Job Overview :
AIMS Locum Tenens is seeking experienced CT Technologists to provide radiologic services at WRNMMC . The CT Technologist will produce cross-sectional images using computed tomography equipment to support accurate diagnoses and treatment plans. This role requires high technical competence, strong attention to patient safety, and the ability to function effectively in a 24 / 7 medical facility. Please note this position is a full-time position.
General Duties :
- Provide CT imaging services within the scope of DHA standards and WRNMMC protocols.
- Operate CT equipment to obtain high-quality diagnostic images for interpretation by radiologists.
- Ensure patient safety and compliance with radiologic best practices.
Specific Duties :
Prepare and position patients for CT examinations and ensure proper alignment and imaging techniques.Perform contrast administration under direction and monitor for allergic reactions or complications.Verify physician orders, review patient histories, and determine the appropriate imaging protocols.Maintain daily logs, document patient information, and ensure images are stored and transmitted to PACS.Perform routine quality assurance and safety checks on imaging equipment.Collaborate with radiologists and medical staff to ensure timely and accurate patient care.Apply proper radiation protection techniques for patients and staff.Manage emergency situations calmly and efficiently (e.g., during trauma imaging).Assist in training and orientation of new staff or technologists as required.Ensure infection control procedures are strictly followed.Qualifications :
Degree : Transcript verifying completion of radiology or CT programEducation : Graduate of an accredited radiologic technologist programCertification :Certified in Computed Tomography (CT) by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT-CT)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification (AHA or Red Cross)
Experience :At least 2 years of CT experience , including within a hospital setting
Licensure : Current unrestricted U.S. state license (if applicable)Skills and Abilities :
In-depth knowledge of CT imaging protocols and emergency scanning proceduresFamiliarity with trauma and critical care CT protocolsAbility to remain calm and focused during emergency situationsStrong patient care, communication, and documentation skillsCapable of operating and troubleshooting CT imaging equipmentKnowledge of infection control, HIPAA, and radiology safety standardsBenefits :
