Job description

Position : Cardiac Catheterization Technologist

Location : Brockton, Massachusetts

Shift : 10-hour Day Shift (4x10s, 40 hours / week)

Schedule : No set day off; evening and weekend call required for emergency procedures

Contract Length : 13 weeks

Guaranteed Hours : 40 hours / week

Start Date : November 10 or 17, 2025

Position Overview

Under the direction of a Cardiologist, the Cardiac Catheterization Technologist is responsible for performing hemodynamic monitoring, imaging, and ambulatory monitoring operations within the Cardiology Department. This role requires independence in performing procedures while maintaining high standards of patient care, safety, and confidentiality.

Experience Requirements

  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory
  • Experience with Impella, Telemetry, and Intra-Aortic Balloon Pump (IABP)
  • Must be able to independently read telemetry strips
  • Must pass telemetry exam on day 1 with 85% or higher
  • Interventional Radiology (IR) experience preferred

Licenses and Certifications

  • Massachusetts RT License or RCIS Certification – Required
  • BLS and ACLS Certifications – Required
  • Key Responsibilities

  • Perform all cardiac catheterization procedures under the direction of the Chief Radiologic Technologist and Cardiologist
  • Conduct and record hemodynamic monitoring accurately
  • Assist with radiologic operations of the Cath Lab and maintain quality control standards
  • Perform daily calibration and maintenance of imaging and hemodynamic monitoring equipment
  • Assist with patient preparation for invasive cardiology procedures
  • Troubleshoot and report any equipment malfunctions, ensuring timely service requests
  • Complete billing documentation for all Cath Lab procedures
  • Maintain strict confidentiality of all hospital, staff, and patient-related information
  • Participate in evening and weekend on-call rotations for emergency cardiac procedures
  • Demonstrate professionalism and cultural sensitivity in all patient and staff interactions
  • Uphold all hospital policies, procedures, and compliance standards
