Shift Available : Rotating Days - 6 : 00 AM - 2 : 30 PM
Certified Nursing Assistants, or CNAs, assist nurses and other medical staff by providing direct personal care for patients. This position is best suited for someone who genuinely cares for others’ well-being.

Responsibilities :
Help clients with daily activities, including but not limited to : bathing, dressing, serving meals, helping clients eat, turning clients and ambulating clientsTake vital signsExamine clients for bruises, blood in urine or other injuries / woundsCollect information about conditions and treatment plans from caregivers, nurses, doctors and family membersProvide and empty bedpansLift clients into beds, wheelchairs, exam tables, etc.Clean and sanitize client areas, including changing bed sheetsStay up-to-date on CNA training, policies and proceduresRequirements :
High school diploma or GEDCurrent Texas CNA certificationAt least one (1) year experience working in Assisted Living FacilityCompletion of a state-approved CNA certification training courseCurrent CPR (American Heart Association) CertificationAbility to think and work independently and with directionComfortable working in a fast-paced and sometimes stressful environmentGood communication skills and bedside manner with a compassionate personalityUp-to-date identificationBasic computer skillsSaint Dominic Village Nursing Home is an equal opportunity employer that is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace.
