Duties and Responsibilities
Perform dental hygiene services and procedures, including dental prophylaxis, scaling, fluoride application and sealant application.Educate patients on oral hygiene strategies that improve oral health conditions.Conduct oral health assessments and provide information on preventative care to dental patients.Collaborate closely with dentists to plan and implement individualized care for patients.Maintain patient dental records; documenting dental history or chief complaints and dental findings.Advise patients on the importance of maintaining proper oral hygiene and preventive oral care.Implement appropriate radiographic diagnostic procedures.Participate in patient screening procedures that include assessment of oral health conditions, review of the health history, oral cancer screening, and head and neck inspection.Maintain strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulatory guidelines (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, FEHA, DOL, HR policies and practices).Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree or Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from an accredited program.Current dental hygienist license in the state where the job is located.Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Dental Hygienist.Proficiency in dental software and computer applications.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to work in a fast-paced, patient-centric environment.Commitment to learning about new techniques and procedures in dental hygiene.Knowledge of dental instruments and sterilization methods.Understanding of health and safety regulations.Demonstrable abilities in motivating patients to improve and maintain their oral health.Why Join Our Team?
