Desktop Deployment Technician

Location: Indianapolis, IN (On-site)

Our client is seeking a Desktop Deployment Technician who will play a critical role in ensuring that our client's desktop and laptop environment is up-to-date, secure, and efficient.

• Prepare and deploy desktops and laptops for end-users, including imaging, configuration, and testing.

• Install, configure, and maintain operating systems, software applications, and hardware components.

• Perform upgrades and patches to operating systems, applications, and hardware as required.

• Provide technical support to end-users on desktop-related issues, including troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving problems.

• Coordinate with other IT teams to ensure that desktops and laptops are integrated into our overall network infrastructure.

• Document procedures and guidelines related to desktop deployment and support.

• Participate in special projects and initiatives related to desktop deployment and support as required.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred

• Minimum of 2 years of experience with desktop deployment, hardware and software configuration, installation, and testing

• Experience with with Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager (SCCM) is a client-based product that enables administrators to manage a large number of Windows-based computers

• Experience with PXE (Preboot Execution Environment) boot image

• Strong technical knowledge of desktop and laptop hardware and software, including Windows operating systems, Microsoft Office suite, and anti-virus software.

• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.

• BONUS:

  • Knowledge of scripting and automation tools is a plus.

  • Experience with Ivanti imaging platform is a plus
