About Us The Lutheran Mission Society of Maryland (LMS) is a faith-based nonprofit serving Maryland and southern Pennsylvania since 1905. Our Compassionate Grace Counseling Center (CGCC) offers affordable, high-quality mental health services, including individual therapy, family therapy, and group counseling, with Christian values integrated when desired. Position Overview We are seeking a Licensed Therapist to provide individual, family, and group therapy. This is a 1099 independent contractor role reporting to the CGCC Program Director. Sessions can be conducted in-person or via teletherapy. Qualifications Maryland license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker-Certified (LCSW-C), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), Doctor of Psychology (Psy.D.), or Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.), and able to practice independently in Maryland Minimum 2 years clinical experience in emotional, behavioral, psychiatric, or substance use disorders Experience with faith-based or Christian counseling preferred Electronic Medical Record (EMR) competency and strong interpersonal skills Key Responsibilities Conduct assessments, diagnoses, and treatment planning Provide individual, family, and group therapy Integrate Christian principles as requested Coordinate care with other providers and participate in consultations Assist with workshops and community outreach Maintain malpractice insurance and current licensure Follow HIPAA and Maryland confidentiality laws Compensation Fee-for-service based on Maryland Public Mental Health System reimbursement rates. Paid at approximately 67% of the Maryland Public Mental Health System reimbursement rates.
