Controller
Addison Group is partnering with a well-established, family-owned organization seeking an experienced Controller to oversee the financial operations of two high-volume business entities. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for managing all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with GAAP, and providing strategic financial guidance to executive leadership.
The ideal candidate is a seasoned accounting professional with strong leadership abilities, advanced Excel proficiency, and a track record of success managing complex accounting operations in a fast-paced, multi-entity environment.
Responsibilities :
- Oversee accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and collections.
- Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting in accordance with GAAP.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow to support business goals.
- Develop and enforce internal controls, financial policies, and process improvements.
- Collaborate with senior leadership to provide financial analysis and strategic recommendations.
- Coordinate audits and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations.
- Lead, mentor, and develop accounting staff to achieve department and company objectives.
- Partner with other departments to maintain clear communication and operational alignment.
Qualifications :
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.CPA certification required (or active progress toward completion).Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Controller or senior accounting leadership role.Proven experience managing AP, AR, GL, and financial reporting for a high-volume organization.Advanced Excel skills and proficiency with accounting and ERP software.Strong leadership, communication, and team-building skills.Excellent organizational, analytical, and decision-making abilities.Familiarity with commercial real estate or property management industries is preferred.Why Apply :
