Job Description

This internship is for Summer 2026. The Supply Chain Intern at Cornerstone Building Brands offers an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the procurement department of the supply chain Understand inventory stocking methodologies and supplier management to support multi-site manufacturing locations and contribute to bottom line cost savings plans to drive efficiency and effectiveness across the CBB organization. Reporting directly to the Multi-Site Procurement Manager.

What You'll Do

  • Assist the HBP purchasing department plan, place and coordinate raw material purchases to support manufacturing plants in two states.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop, support and implement new project initiatives.
  • Support the documentation of current processes, standard operating procedures, and best practices.
  • Help track and report on key performance indicators to show success / challenges of the supply chain department.
  • Collaborate with team members to develop training materials and deliver training sessions on new processes and tools.

Qualifications

What You'll Need

  • Currently enrolled in Bachelor's degree program majoring in supply chain or related is required
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy - Proficiency in Excel preferred
  • Excellent communication skills (both oral and written)
  • Familiarity with basic supply chain processes and methodologies such as MRP and inventory analysis
