Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisor, Platform Engineering job leads designing, developing and maintaining digital technology infrastructure to support information technology applications and services. As a recognized subject matter authority in platform engineering, this job leads and advises cross functional teams to define, design and implement new features to meet user needs and business goals and upgrade existing platforms to improve performance and functionality through writing clean, efficient and scalable code and troubleshooting and debugging highly complex issues. This job also leads code reviews to maintain high code quality and advance platform engineering teams' capabilities.

Essential Functions

• ARCHITECTURE AND SOFTWARE DEVELOPMENT : Leads the design and development of high quality software solutions by developing sustainable technology roadmaps, maintainable system and data integration and efficient codes.
• AUTOMATION : Advises to improve the application of internal software deployment platform, continuous integration or continuous delivery pipeline and twelve factor development methodology to automate the deployment process, ensuring smooth and reliable releases.
• COLLABORATION : Leads cross functional team of product managers, designers and other engineers to gather requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
• CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT : Proposes continuous improvement initiatives for the software development and deployment processes, and leads implementing approved standards to improve efficiency and reliability.
• DOCUMENTATION : Leads the establishment and maintenance of comprehensive documentation for software applications, deployment processes and system configurations.
• TECHNICAL SUPPORT : Leads and mentors technical support and troubleshooting for highly complex issues with deployed applications to ensure minimal downtime and fast resolution.
