Job Title : Engineering Technician

Location : Fredericksburg, VA

Employment Type : Direct Hire

Pay : $20–$30 per hour (DOE)

Position Overview :

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Engineering Technician for a direct hire position with our client in Fredericksburg, VA . This role supports the development, testing, and production of mechanical and electrical systems in a hands-on environment. The ideal candidate will have a background in engineering support, fabrication, or production, and a passion for problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities :

Assist in the assembly and testing of prototype and production units per engineering specifications and safety standards

Read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and work instructions

Perform troubleshooting and root cause analysis on systems, components, and assemblies

Document build processes, test results , and any modifications for traceability and accuracy

Collaborate with engineering teams to provide feedback on design and manufacturability improvements

Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in a safe and organized condition

Support continuous improvement initiatives in production and prototyping workflows

Ensure adherence to company quality standards and industry regulations

Represent and promote the company’s mission, values, and culture

Follow all established safety procedures and quality controls

Perform other duties and assist on various projects as assigned

Limited travel may be required

Qualifications :

High School Diploma or GED required

1–5 years of experience in engineering support, fabrication, or production environment

Strong ability to manage multiple projects and solve complex problems

Excellent communication skills , with the ability to work effectively across all levels of the organization

Proven organizational and time management capabilities

Solid analytical and troubleshooting skills

Willingness to work a flexible schedule , including overtime when needed

Proficient in standard business software (e.g., Microsoft Office)
