Tool Designer

Department : Engineering

Employment Type : Full Time

Location : Columbia, PA - Plant

Reporting To : Michael Pikolas

Description

We are seeking a skilled Tool Designer to join our engineering team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing and developing tools and fixtures used in manufacturing processes. This role involves collaboration with cross-functional teams to enhance production efficiency, reduce costs, and ensure product quality.

How You Will Help

Design Development :

  • Create detailed designs and specifications for tools, dies, molds, and fixtures.
  • Utilize CAD software to produce and modify design drawings.

Prototype and Testing :

  • Develop prototypes and conduct tests to validate design functionality and performance.
  • Analyze results and make necessary adjustments to designs.
  • Collaboration :

  • Work closely with engineers, machinists, and production staff to understand tool requirements.
  • Collaborate with quality assurance teams to ensure tools meet regulatory and quality standards.
  • Project Management :

  • Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, ensuring timely completion and adherence to budgets.
  • Maintain documentation of design processes and revisions.
  • Continuous Improvement :

  • Identify opportunities for design improvements and cost reductions.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in tool design technology.
  • Additional responsibilities and duties may be assigned. Employee must be able to obtain a tow motor license and successfully pass LOTO and confined space training.

    What You Will Bring
