White County Solid Waste Part Time Truck Driver

A CDL is required to perform the essential functions of this position.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE JOB

The following duties are normal for this job. These are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive. Other duties may be required and assigned.

• Drives and operates a heavy load hydraulic refuse collection truck
• Assists in loading truck and covers assigned area or route
• Responsible for loading, tarping and unloading truck
• Maintains proper schedule in picking up and hauling garbage and trash to disposal area
• Performs routine maintenance on vehicle including cleaning of vehicle
• Inspects the equipment for mechanical problems and informs supervisor of any problems
• Loads and / or helps load and unload trucks that requires lifting 60 to 125 lbs
• May be assigned to operate other equipment as needed
• Responsible for the care of maintenance of the tarps and other equipment on the truck.
