Im Director Of Social Services
FLSA Status : Full Time - exempt
Reports To : Divisional Social Services Secretary
Schedule : M-F, 8AM- 4PM
Rate of Pay : Range of $ 125 - 135,000 annually (depending upon experience)
Closing Date : 11 / 19 / 2025

Duties and Responsibilities :
Quality Assurance & Compliance :Create and implement objective performance measurement systems across all program sites to assess program quality and effectiveness.Monitor compliance with divisional, territorial, and national standards as well as contract and regulatory requirements.Collaborate with program managers to review and evaluate compliance with National Social Services Standards (NSSS).Oversee the review and updating of policies and procedures to ensure alignment with TSA standards and divisional guidance.Mission Impact Evaluation :Develop and oversee a divisional evaluation framework to assess program health and effectiveness including guest experience, financial stability, policy compliance, and missional relevancy.Conduct onsite visits with local units, produce action plans, and track follow-up progress with Corps Officers and staff.Compile annual reports of program evaluations and consultation outcomes for Divisional Commander and leadership teams.Travel to all site locations for regular evaluationInnovation & Continuous Improvement :Lead program evaluations and needs assessments to identify opportunities for service innovation and improved outcomes.Analyze client feedback, survey data, and divisional performance metrics to recommend system-wide improvements.Promote innovation by identifying and implementing best practices and evidence-based approaches across divisional programs.Build feedback loops to connect frontline insights with divisional strategic planning.Support concept development, new program prototyping, and scaling of effective models.Supervision of Training & Compliance Functions :Directly supervise the Divisional Social Services staff on and off site, in line with local reporting structures.Oversee the divisional training function to ensure staff receive required onboarding, compliance training, and professional development aligned with divisional priorities.Support the integration of training and compliance outcomes into broader evaluation and quality assurance processes.Ensure supervisory staff adhere to TSA policies and contribute to a culture of continuous improvement.Coordination and Integration :Ensure smooth and consistent social service methods across all sites, accounting for various region and programs, ensuring consistent standards and needs based assessments of programs.Work to integrate the metro areas, corps, and service centers throughout Intermountain for a cohesive team centered approach to Social Service delivery within our four states.Education, Experience, Skills, Qualifications :
Education / Experience :Bachelor's degree in social work, Nonprofit Management, Public Administration, or related field required; Masters preferred.7 10 years of experience in program evaluation, compliance, quality assurance, or related roles in nonprofit or social services.Supervisory experience required, with ability to oversee data compliance, financial / grant management, and training functions.Experience fostering innovation and implementing data-driven solutions.Skills :Expertise in compliance monitoring, program evaluation, and outcome measurement.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to develop innovative solutions.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with ability to present findings to leadership and external stakeholders.Ability to foster collaboration across departments and promote continuous improvement.Qualifications :Valid driver's license and ability to travel within the division.Commitment to The Salvation Army's mission and values.Willingness and ability to travel extensively (5060%).Driving :A minimum age of 21 (for insurance provision) and possession of a valid in-state driver's license is required.An MVR will be processed every year in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies.Background Check :Continued employment will be contingent upon a biennial (every two years) background check that is processed in accordance with The Salvation Army's policies.Physical Requirements :Ability to maneuver.Ability to remain in a stationary position.Ability to grasp, push, pull, and reach overhead.Ability to operate telephone.Ability to lift 25 pounds.Ability to access and produce information from the computer.Ability to understand written information.Qualified individuals must be able to perform the essential duties of the position with or without accommodation.Qualifications Education Required :Bachelors or better in Social WorkLicenses & Certifications Required :Driver's LicenseExperience Required :Supervisory experience required, with ability to oversee data compliance, financial / grant management, and training functions7-10 years : experience in program evaluation, compliance, quality assurance, or related roles in nonprofit or social servicesEqual Opportunity Employer / Protected Veterans / Individuals with Disabilities
