Responsibilities Work in a Med / Surg Telemetry hospital unit with 20 beds Patient population consists of observation, Med / Surg, and telemetry cases Average patient ratio is 1 : 5 to 1 : 6, varies with census and acuity Night shifts (3x12 hours, 19 : 00 to 7 : 15), with every other weekend required May float between MS / Tele units as needed within skill set Uses Epic EMR system No block or special scheduling unless approved at booking First-time travel nurses are accepted for this position Scrub color requirement is navy blue Must be available to work two of the three winter holidays Floating required within skill set, ratios assigned based on acuity when floated Locals are accepted at the same rate as travelers Former staff must be separated from the health system for at least one year to be eligible Attendance policy strictly enforced, excessive callouts may result in DNR status Pre-start modules include Epic training and additional mandatory education Clinicians must complete any missed shifts within the same pay period No schedule changes accommodated post-booking; RTO must be approved at booking Requirements Active NJ or Compact RN license required at time of consideration Current BLS and ACLS certifications required Minimum of 1.5 years of recent acute care experience in Med / Surg Telemetry References required for consideration All certifications and licenses must be current at time of consideration Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-634493.
