Job descriptionMonitor unbilled inventory for assigned clients and ensure invoices are prepared and finalized promptly Generate billing reports and provide analysis to management Review client guidelines and rate arrangements and ensure invoices are compliant Prepare monthly and transactional bills for attorney review, incorporate edits and revisions, prepare final invoices, obtain approvals, post bills, and maintain billing files Process transfers, write-offs, and adjustments Partner with attorneys, legal staff, and clients to resolve billing issues quickly and accurately Collaborate with E-Billing Specialists to ensure successful electronic transmission of invoices Communicate regularly with management on the status of assigned objectives and responsibilities Qualifications for Senior Legal Billing Specialist (Global Law Firm) : 5+ years of billing experience within a law firm required; Aderant experience preferred Strong proficiency in Excel and reporting Exceptional organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail Ability to adapt to new assignments and deadlines in a fast-paced, highly demanding environment Excellent communication skills and professional demeanor when working with attorneys, clients, and staff Commitment to maintaining confidentiality of clients, matters, and timekeeper information Powered by JazzHR
Position Senior Legal Billing Specialist (Global Law Firm) Company :
- AM 100 Law Firm Location : NY or DC (Hybrid) Comp Package : Base up to $110K, Paid Overtime, Tuition Reimbursement, Full Benefits, Bonus, 401K+, etc.
- Summary Join a prestigious AM 100 law firm with a collaborative team culture and onsite flexibility (only 6 days per month). As a Senior Legal Billing Specialist, you will play a key role in the firm’s financial operations by preparing client bills in accordance with guidelines and partner instructions, reviewing time and disbursement records, and ensuring accuracy and compliance every step of the way. You’ll work closely with attorneys, clients, and colleagues to resolve issues, support special projects, and deliver meaningful insights through billing reports.
