Travel Nursing Job Details Location : Anchorage, Alaska (99508) – Alaska healthcare jobs Position : Operating Room Registered Nurse (OR RN) Setting : Operating Room – 11 ORs Assignment Length : 13-week travel RN contract Start Date : November 24, 2025 End Date : February 23, 2026 Shift : 12-hour days (6 : 30 AM – 7 : 00 PM), Friday, Saturday, Sunday Hours per Week : 36 Estimated Weekly Salary : $1990 - $2130 Employment Type : On-site travel nursing position Electronic Medical Record : Epic Scrubs Provided by Facility Registered Nurse Qualifications Active Alaska RN license (required for submission) BLS and ACLS certifications (American Heart Association preferred) Minimum 1 year of recent Operating Room RN experience Experience with Ortho, Total Joints, Neuro, and Robotic surgical cases Ability to serve as patient advocate and circulator in the OR CNOR certification preferred (Certified Nurse Operating Room) Experience as a scrub nurse is a plus Key Responsibilities for OR RN Circulate and provide patient advocacy during surgical procedures in the operating room Assist with a variety of procedures including total joints, multi-level spine fusions, and Xi Robotic cases (GYN, Colorectal, General) Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of RNs, scrub techs, and surgical support staff Maintain a safe, sterile environment and ensure compliance with hospital policies and healthcare standards Demonstrate a positive outlook and strong teamwork skills in a fast-paced clinical setting Participate in call shifts as needed (average 5-6 weekday shifts and 1 weekend shift per 8-week period; holiday call possible) Discover the exceptional quality of life Anchorage offers, with world-class hiking, skiing, and wildlife viewing, plus a vibrant arts and dining scene.
