About The Position

Job Title : Surgical Technologist Profession : Nursing Specialty : Scrub Technologist Duration : 13 weeks Shift : Mon, Tues, Wed, Fri Hours per Shift : 0630-1700 Experience : Minimum 3 years License : Unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in the State of Colorado, or ability to obtain prior to start date. Certifications : Basic Life Support (BLS) may be obtained upon hire. Must-Have : - Minimum qualifications and requirements include an unrestricted license to practice as a Surgical Technologist in the State of Colorado or the ability to obtain it prior to the start date. - Basic Life Support (BLS) certification may be obtained upon hire. Description : Position Overview : Maintains sterile field and instrumentation for all surgical procedures. Prepares the operating room and supplies for each surgical case in a neat and efficient manner. The Surgical Technologist will communicate with all other members of the perioperative team to provide the highest standard of care during the intraoperative period. The Surgical Technologist works collaboratively with co-workers and is responsible for stocking and ordering supplies for the department. Additional supportive patient care is provided as directed by others. Preferred Qualifications : Two years of recent operating room experience preferred. Surgical Technologist certification is preferred. Bilingual in Spanish is preferred. Miscellaneous : Travelers are responsible for their own housing and should consider housing options in surrounding towns. Housing can be extremely expensive, particularly in winter. Travelers looking for affordable housing should be cautious of costs in the area. Candidates must be healthy enough to safely function in a low oxygen environment at high elevation.
