Assistant Chief Medical Officer (CMO)

Join our community-based healthcare organization as the Assistant Chief Medical Officer (CMO) , where you will lead efforts to provide innovative healthcare solutions, encourage personal responsibility for health and wellness, and deliver outstanding service and partnerships. This role involves handling a variety of complex tasks with a high level of independence and judgment. Working closely with the CMO, you will ensure we meet regulatory standards and deliver quality care to our members through all Medical Management activities.

Position Details .

  • Supervision of : Medical Directors, Pharmacy, Clinical Analytics and Strategic Initiatives.
  • Reports to the Chief Medical Officer
  • Both internal & external facing position.
  • Hybrid, role
  • Possibility, of being required to be in office / surrounding community up to 5 days per week at times)
  • Must be a resident of California,

Position Requirements & Certifications :

  • Medical degree from an accredited medical school,
  • Board Certification in a chosen specialty,
  • Satisfactory completion of an American Council of Graduate Medical Education accredited residency program,
  • 10+ years of clinical experience practicing medicine in areas related to a managed care setting,
  • 5+ years of clinical experience in the practice of medicine with Medi-Cal and / or Medicare populations,
  • 5+ years of progressive leadership experience in a Managed care setting including Medicaid and Medicare,
  • Unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State of California, issued by the State Board of Medical Examiners,
  • Eligible to participate in Medicare, Medicaid, and / or other federal health care programs,
  • Possess a National Provider Identifier (NPI),
  • Experience as a senior leader in a Managed Care setting especially with Medicaid and Medicare lines of business, required.
  • Proven experience communicating with all groups of people internally and externally effectively. required.
  • Compensation : 350k-475k
