Commercial Sourcing Advisor

The commercial sourcing advisor's primary responsibility is to support the development, management, and execution of strategic sourcing initiatives. This is done by managing assigned categories of spend and executing strategic initiatives / projects within the category to deliver value to the business. The successful candidate should be a self-starter with a strategic mindset, able to conduct market analysis, analyze proposals using a total cost of ownership methodology, and establish strategic business relationships with key suppliers. The ideal candidate would be able to thrive in a dynamic environment where needs are both planned and unplanned. This role supports the MPLX business, MPC's sponsored master limited partnership. MPLX transports, stores, distributes, and markets crude oil and refined products via refining logistics assets, pipelines, terminals, towboats, and barges; gather, process and transport natural gas; and gather, transport, fractionate, store and market natural gas liquids.
What You'll Do - Key Responsibilities :
Education and Experience :
Bachelor's degree required. Supply Chain Management, Engineering, Marketing, Business, Science or related field preferred. 4-6 or more years of supply chain or business relevant experience. General midstream oil and gas industry, project management, and construction experience will be given additional consideration. General experience with supporting instrumentation and electrical categories from both a materials / equipment and labor perspective will be given additional consideration.

This position will be based out of either the San Antonio, TX, Houston, TX, Denver, CO, Canonsburg, PA, or Findlay, OH offices. Travel may be up to 15% at peak times. Other MPC locations may be considered.
