Position Description
The Artillery Vehicle Sr. Mechanical Engineer will have responsibility to evaluate prototype designs and create production drawings (level 3 Technical Data Package) compliant with industry and U.S. Government specifications, support design reviews and meetings.
Skills Required
Create & maintain product parts, assemblies & drawings using PTC Creo modeling software. Perform complex engineering design, development, analysis, and product assurance tasks of limited complexity for assigned portions of a project. Solves moderately complex engineering problems which have not been clearly defined and may not have similar precedents available. Ability to review and drawings, and associated Bill of Materials (BOMs) and identify necessary corrections. Knowledge of ASME Y14.100 and Y14.5 Knowledge of relevant military and commercial design standards. Excellent customer relationship and communication skills.

Experience Required
Minimum 4 years work experience in relevant work environment.
Experience Preferred
Familiarity with creating and revising drawings using relevant military and commercial design standards. Familiarity with current computer applications and technologies in applicable engineering disciplines. Experience in military product production environment Experience performing development work to the assigned budgets and project schedules in an integrated product team environment.
Education Required
B.S. degree in a relevant technical discipline (typically mechanical or aerospace engineering) plus 4 years relevant experience
