The ideal person must be able to work within a team environment. The candidate should be able take the start the patient work up while delivering top notch customer service. We will train the right candidate for this role! No experience necessary!
Responsibilities :
- Prepare patient to see Ophthalmic technician through initial work up.
- Performs pre-exam testing to include : visual acuity assessment, including pinhole and glare testing, confrontational visual field testing, and all other patient services as requested by provider including specialty tests such as color vision screening, and stereopsis.
- Walks patient's through the various parts of their visit, helping acquaint them with the procedures being performed.
- Obtains patient history including chief complaint and documents it thoroughly in the chart.
Required Skills :
- Ability to work in EMR software and other computer programs
- Ability to build sustainable relationships and engage customers by going the extra mile.
- Ability to work both independently and in a team oriented environment.
- Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
Experience :
- Minimum of 1 year of customer service experience and / or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
