Reports to : Safety Director

Job Purpose :   Assist the Safety Director in keeping J. Irwin Company employees safe through training and safety inspections.  Maintain the companies’ compliance with Federal and State laws as well as in regulation with the companies’ clients.

Job Duties :

Employee Training- Teach the following courses to all affected employees as requested by Safety Director

• OSHA 10+30 Hour
• PEC Basic Orientation
• Veriforce Evaluator
• CPR
• First Aid
• Aerial Lift and Forklift Trainer
• Rigger and Signal Person Trainer
• Hydrogen Sulfide Training
• Regulatory Training
• Job Site safety inspections for all three companies
• PPE Hazard Assessments and Job Site Evaluations
• Answer and coordinate safety questionnaire for potential clients and meetings
• Conduct Monthly safety meetings in all areas
• Conduct Drug and Alcohol testing
• Oversee TRC Program through Unifirst
• Other duties as assigned

Skills / Qualifications :   High School diploma or equivalent knowledge and experience required.  General field experience and knowledge of natural gas pipeline construction or construction work.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is not exposed to weather conditions. The work is performed both indoors in environmentally controlled conditions and outdoors on the jobsite where the employee will be exposed to extreme heat and cold. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate in the office and can be extreme on the jobsite.

Work Hours :    Work hours are generally a regular work week of 40 hours; however, exact hours to work each day may vary as required.

Compensation details : 1-30 Hourly Wage
