The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and technically strong Senior Accountant to join our Finance team on a 12 month fixed term, parental leave cover contract. This role requires a deep understanding of complex accounting standards including IFRS 15 and IAS 38, with the ability to confidently manage capitalisation of software development, revenue analytics, and global tax compliance. You'll play a key role in maintaining financial integrity during month-end, supporting audit readiness, and ensuring Deputy's reporting remains accurate, compliant, and insightful.

Responsibilities

• Primary point of contact for all technical accounting matters - including IFRS15 and Capitalised Development Costs
• Perform analytical reviews of the monthly financials, investigating variances, identifying trends, and providing insights to support accurate revenue recognition and accurate financial reporting
• Support the Finance Manager with the month-end close, including month end accruals, tax and revenue-related journals
• Develop, enforce, and continuously improve internal billing controls to ensure accurate and compliant revenue recognition
• Serve as a secondary owner for key billing and revenue processes, supporting the configuration, monitoring, and reconciliation of billing activities within Zuora and Salesforce platforms.
• Prepare and support tax filings globally for indirect tax obligations in Australia, United States, United Kingdom and Canada
• Assist with billing audits by testing billing workflows and controls, identifying discrepancies and supporting process improvement initiatives.
• Support the external group audit by responding to queries and preparing key workpapers.
