Balance Staffing is seeking an experienced Inventory Stock Clerk on behalf of a leading glass manufacturing company in the Galt area . This position plays a critical role in tracking and maintaining inventory for the supply cage and satellite storage areas within the plant.

The ideal candidate will have a strong mechanical aptitude, previous inventory control experience, and the ability to maintain organized workspaces according to 5S standards. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and navigating multiple web-based systems is essential. This is a full-time position with regular weekday hours and required overtime based on operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

Stock incoming parts into bins, cabinets, racks, and shelving units

Perform regular inventory counts (daily, weekly, monthly)

Maintain 5S standards across all assigned areas

Submit purchase requisitions to replenish inventory

Assist in researching parts, validating stock levels, and special projects

Receive and verify deliveries (UPS, FedEx, OnTrac, LTL freight)

Label and organize hazardous materials (HAZMAT) for off-site shipment

Follow lunch / break timing policies and maintain accurate time punches

Collaborate with team members to meet project deadlines and plant needs

Qualifications & Requirements

1+ year of experience in inventory control, stock keeping, or materials handling

Mechanical and / or electrical aptitude preferred

Must be able to read, write, and communicate clearly in English

Proficient with Microsoft Office and comfortable using multiple web browsers / applications

Experience handling hazardous materials (oils, fuels, lubricants)

Ability to lift and move heavy items (with or without equipment)

Strong commitment to workplace safety and 5S practices

Must comply with all company policies and handbook guidelines

Additional Details

Shift : Monday–Friday, 5 : 45 AM – 2 : 15 PM

Overtime : Weekday and weekend overtime required as needed
