APRN Provider Neurology Inpatient or Neurosurgery Experience

The Department of Neurology at MetroHealth is expanding patient access to inpatient Neurology and Neurocritical Care and is looking for Nurse Practitioners and / or Physician Assistants who are interested in making a difference! We are transitioning to a 24-bed multi-acuity neuroscience unit and are seeking highly motivated, adaptable individuals with an interest in caring for these patients to partner with experienced Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) and physicians in a collegial and collaborative department. We will provide training in the neurologic exam, common acute neurologic conditions, neuroimaging, EEG, and common neurocritical procedures.

Qualifications strongly preferred :

Nurse Practitioners with Acute Care Certification or Physician Assistants with inpatient neurology or neurocritical care experience

Responsibilities will include :

• Management of neurocritical care and step-down patients in collaboration with an attending physician
• Management of regular nursing floor patients with neurologic disorders, mostly stroke or seizures
• Provision of Brain Attack evaluation and treatment services
