Responsibilities Work in an acute care hospital setting, floating between ICU, ED Boarders (inpatients only), all MedSurg units, and Observation unit Primary assignment includes adult ICU patients with ratios of 1 : 1 or 1 : 2, and may float to PCU or MedSurg areas with appropriate patient ratios Night shifts are required with a schedule that includes every other weekend or the potential for every weekend shifts No call or standby requirements for this position Epic EMR is used for documentation; Epic experience is preferred Commonly care for high-acuity, critical care patients, including those requiring Swans, IABP, and Impella devices Required to titrate sedation, vasoactive, and paralytic drips in ICU, PCU, and ED units RNs must be able to read telemetry strips on all units Float ICU RNs may be assigned to any included unit based on staffing needs Orientation includes one onboarding day with the manager and two shifts with a float pool member Professional scrubs of any color are allowed; business casual attire may be required for training Support structures such as charge nurses, house supervisors, and nurse aides (as available) are present on units Holiday shift coverage is required as needed First-time travelers are eligible to apply Returning candidates must not have been employed by CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity within the past year Requirements Active WA RN license or compact RN license required at time of consideration Minimum two years of ICU nursing experience required Current certifications in BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS are required Ability to provide care for patients with Swans, IABP, and Impella devices Competence in titrating critical care drips and reading telemetry strips Must submit two professional references : one supervisor from within the last 12 months and one peer or supervisor from within the last 3 years Copy of driver’s license required Benefits High Pay and Bonuses Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance with Day 1 Options 401(k) Plan Weekly Payroll Deposit Free Online CEUs Generous Housing Allowance Travel and Licensure Reimbursements Non-taxed Per Diem and Subsidy Traveler Rewards and Discounts American Traveler Job ID P-621408.
